Drax Commits to using Local

In fantastic news for the environment and the economy, Drax has committed to 80% of its construction materials and services need to deliver its pioneering negative energy emission technology, bioenergy with carbon capture and storage (BECCS).   This means hundreds of millions of pounds will be spent and upto 10,000 jobs supported!  Minimising the distance people and materials travel will reduce the project’s carbon footprint and help hundreds of businesses.

The Old Sidings, Goole serviced accommodation is just 6.3 miles (13 minutes) from Drax Power Station so staying with us is certainly better for the environment than commuting long distances every day.
