The Old Sidings congratulates Goole on making the shortlist to site a prototype fusion energy plant which by 2040 could provide near limitless sources of low carbon energy. This success is testament to the town’s strong skills base, excellent road, rail and port connections and burgeoning green energy economy. If successful, the bid will bring massive further investment and employment to the region, first to build and then to operate the 100 hectare site.
